About Living Real After 40

Welcome to Living Real After 40

Thanks for visiting

Hey, I’m Rich. I started this blog because I hit a point where life felt full — work, family, responsibilities — but also strangely empty. Like I was doing all the things I was meant to, but something underneath it wasn’t sitting right.

I wasn’t falling apart, but I wasn’t okay either. It turns out, a lot of people over 40 feel like that. You’ve got a job. Maybe kids. Maybe a mortgage. Maybe some debt that never quite clears. You’re not looking for motivation — you’re just trying to get through the week without feeling like you're losing yourself in the process.

That’s why I started Living Real After 40. Not to offer life hacks or pretend I’ve figured it all out, but to talk about the stuff most people don’t say out loud — the emotional fatigue, the financial stress, the way your job can slowly drain you even if you’re good at it. What it means to feel stuck. What it means to want change but not know how to make it happen without risking everything.

Most of what I write is personal reflection. Some of it’s practical. Some of it’s just me trying to name feelings that are hard to pin down.

But if you’ve ever thought, “Is it just me?” — I want this to be a place where the answer is, “No. I get it.” No filters. No preaching. Just real life, over 40.
